TAIWAN!

I've been telling people around me that I'm really excited for my TW trip, cos it's been my dream to be there. All for 粉圆综合水果冰. But no, I didn't get to eat it there. One of my regrets perhaps? But anyway, I've decided to blog my 5D4N trip down for my own memorial. HAHA. But of course, feel free to refer, if you're ever gonna tour TW.
BTW, our exchange rate was 22.785.
So, here we go!

Day 1:
Changi Airport> Taipei Taoyuan Airport> 西门町> 五分埔> 饶河夜市> 西门町.

We paid TWD260/ pax for a 2-way transport by FeiGou which sends us to our lodging place (峨嵋街,万华区 in 西门町) and also our route back to airport on the last day. Approximately a 1 hour route.

西门町.
捷运站:西门,六号出口.The place we stayed was really cool.
It's like an apartment which fits 4 in each.
4 nights costs us around SGD100/ pax.
Most importantly, there's alot of facilities catered inside and it's a 1min walk to MTR!

西门 is kinda convenient for travelling around!

To travel around conveniently and cheap;y, we purchased the MTR Card at TWD500,
which has TWD400 of value in it.

五分埔.
捷运站:后埤山.
I don't really recommend people to shop there as there's hardly anything!
Even if there's things you like, it's most likely gonna cost a bomb!

But.. You can find 胡须张's 卤肉饭 on your way to 五分埔!
It's a must try! :)

They serve this 玉米农汤 which is damn nice too!
But, all the corn soups which I tried in TW are all kinda tasty!

饶河夜市!
It's like a 15 mins walk from
五分埔.
But there's countless good food and little things/ clothes to get from there!
Must go!

Day 2: 西门町> 泡温泉(新北头)> 士林夜市 (剑谭)> 钱柜KTV.

We wanted to shop around 西门町 for that morning.
So We ended up going all around, buying stuffs.
From swimming costume to cosmetics! SHIOK!

The infamous 阿宗面线 is just opposite our place.
A 10s walk probably? HAHA.
And the Q is never ending, all day long!

泡温泉.
捷运站:新北头(在北头转).
Bet many people wouldn't wanna miss out the itinerary of hot spring bath.
But I would recommend that you guys prepare more money to go for the real luxurious ones.
And, do remember to book first!
Or, you'll end up like us! Walking around the whole 新北头, realizing that most hot springs are expensive and fully boooked!

We went to this DAMN DAMN DAMN lok kok one that I didn't even wanna take a photo of it.
Sucks, totally.

Even the river water in 新北头 is burning hot!
Check out the smoke!

After the hot spring, we visited 士林夜市 (捷运站:剑谭).
It was so so so good to shop and not as crowded as 饶河夜市.
End up, I totally forgot to snap any pictures!!! :(
But! It's definitely a must go! Not so much for the food, but more of shopping!!!

Oh, we also visited the
钱柜KTV near our place.
Damn worth it! Loads of food and 2 hours of K at only SGD13/pax! :)

Day 3: 龙山寺(龙山寺)> 淡水(淡水)> 师大夜市(台电大楼).

Having 龙山寺 planned in our itinerary was all meant for yaya's papa.
So, we were only there for a little while.
If you liked the movie 艋胛, you should pay a little visit there.
Cos I think the movie was filmed there or something.

A very pretty waterfall spotted in 龙山寺!

The second stop of that day.
淡水.
It's the last stop of red line. So yes, it's freaking far!!!
But definitely worth the go! Cos there's lots of 土产 and stuffs to buy at 淡水老街!

Another visitors' hot spot!
淡水渔人码头, 情人桥!
There's really nothing at 渔人码头 besides this bridge.
So, no need to spend extra money on the ferry tickets la. HAHA.

After 淡水, we chionged back to unload our stuffs at the apartment and chionged to 师大夜市.
If you fancy fashionable clothes from blogshops, it's recommended hat you visit there!
If not, at least go there for the 卤味! Cos it's damn freaking nice!!!!!

*************************************************************************************
Day 4: 新光三越 (中山)> 鼎泰丰 (忠孝复兴)> 西门町> 士林夜市 (剑谭).

As above, we went to 新光三越. It's some what like our Takashimaya, a high class shopping center that carries big brands. Nothing much. Unless you have stuffs to buy from brands like Shu Uemura, Lancome, etc. Not especially cheap though.

Next, we went to 鼎泰丰 which we've been searching high and low for, cos, according to many people, it's much tastier there compaed to sg's. But NO! It didn't taste exceptionally good and it as freaking expensive!!! So.. Not recommended. But.. FYI, it can be found at MTR Station: 忠孝复兴, B2 of SOGO 复兴馆.

After that, Yaya, Kaining and Fabian had plans to cut and colour their hair.
I insisted on not doing, so I started sourcing for cheap manicures.
End up, I was pyschoed by yaya to colour too! :(
Cheap though!
There was a promotion for 3 pax and up @ SGD57 for cut/ colour/ treatment/ free conditioner.

Told the staylist that I wanted a different LIGHT colour tone.

Yaya requested for the same colour which the stylist was sporting.
Brownish green.
And he really looked like a brocolli! HAHAHA.

End up, he walked out of the salon as an angry and disappointed man!
Cos...
It turned out black!!!! HAHAHA!
But he went back the next day to do for free la.
And the colour turned out fine~

My colour turned out good and is very very Jap!
BTW, we went to 士林夜市 again after that.
Like I told you, we really loved that place, alot! HAHAHA.

*************************************************************************************
Day 5 (Last Day): 西门町

We wanted to shop around 西门町 on our last day, as shops normally around open at 11 or 12pm and we had to take the bus to airport at 4pm. BUT! Yaya spent his time on retouching his hair while Kaining and I spent all ours on making your nails. It tooik me around 2.5h to get all done. But! All worth it!!!!

Acrylic Crystal Nails @ TWD 2259.

*************************************************************************************

Finally look at the number of bags 8 people had in all.
Damn kua zhang!!!!
And the number increased after Mr Ho (the man in the pic) purchased alot alot of alcohol.
HAHA!

Here's the food I brought back! :)

Good buy!!!
TWD 199 ONLY!
Good buy!!!
TWD 199 ONLY!

The non-edible collection!

Oh, I was eyeing on this watch on the flight to Taipei.
But because I fell asleep before the stewardess could push the duty free cart to MY seat, I gave it up.
Then, on the flight back, the same thing happened.
HAHAHA.
BUT! Because I have the sweetest bf on Earth, this "dream watch" was given to me as a present.

I was sleeping happily with my head and pillow on yaya's lap, but he woke me up and said he needed the loo.
End up, he went to buy the watch!
And know when he gave it to me?
When I woke up from my sleep and was back to reality that our TW trip ended.
HAHA.
When I told him I'm very sad to leave TW, actually.

So...
THANK YOU BB YAYA! :)
BIG LOVE!
